Trends @ The Met Ball 2012

The Met Ball is one of the most exciting fashion events in fashion and we were eagerly waiting to see what our favorite stars showed up in. And we weren't disappointed - everyone showed up in their fanciest, more fashion forward ensembles and gave all us fashionistas something to talk about for the next few months!


Here are a few key trends that caught our eye this year:

METALLICS

Camilla Belle // Carey Mulligan // Nina Dobrev

Metallics are always trendy and we saw lots of them on the red carpet at the Met Ball - Jessica Pare, Michelle Dockery, and Jessica Alba were just a few others who sported ensembles in dazzling silvers and gold.

STRAPLESS

Paula Patton // Amy Poehler // January Jones

Lots of ladies chose to go the more demure way and show off their décolletage in gorgeous strapless gowns - Solange Knowles, Rachel Zoe, Sophia Vergara, and Emma Roberts were others who chose this style.

CAPES

Lana Del Ray // Bianca Brandolini D'Adda
